Delaware County Breakfast

Join us for the Delaware County Breakfast on Tuesday, April 21 from 8:30–10:00 a.m. at Harrah’s Chester Casino & Racetrack.

The Delaware County Breakfast will focus on the new Major League Soccer (MLS) stadium and explore how this project and other Chester revitalization efforts are impacting local and regional economic growth.

The $115 million stadium will be the linchpin for further development along the waterfront in Chester, an area that is one of poorest in the Commonwealth. Construction of the stadium, which is being funded through a combination of county, state and private investments, is scheduled to be completed by April of 2010.

The discussion will be moderated by WHYY's Chris Satullo and will feature The Honorable Linda A. Cartisano, Chair, Delaware County Council and Chester City Solicitor and Tom Veit, President, The Solutions Group, Chief Consultant to MLSPhilly2010. This event is part of a series which visits counties in northern Delaware, southern New Jersey, and southeastern Pennsylvania to explore significant development projects that are changing where we live and work and making Greater Philadelphia an attractive, competitive place to do business.

The series will culminate with the State of the Region on May 8 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. This final event will showcase key regional accomplishments and address challenges to our continued economic growth.
